Kelly Monaco has secured a spot in pop culture as the first winner of ABC’s “Dancing With the Stars,” managing to win the love of millions of viewers each week. Since the show debut, she has had over 20 million hits on her website and is the most searched woman on Yahoo. 
 
Monaco has graced the big and small screen numerous times with starring roles in “Idle Hands,” “Mumford” and “Late Last Night.”  Monaco can currently be seen on “General Hospital” where her role of the sexy and rebellious Samantha “Sam” McCall, has garnered her two Daytime Emmy® nominations for Outstanding Supporting Actress and Outstanding Lead Actress.  She was also the co-host of the 2006 Daytime Emmy’s with friend and “Dancing With The Stars” alum Tom Bergeron.  Monaco’s other television credits include “Baywatch,” “Port Charles” and “Football Wives.”   
 
Monaco also starred opposite Charlie Sheen and Heather Locklear in the season finale of “Spin City” and has graced the cover of Maxim Magazine.  Her cover was voted the sexiest Maxim cover of all time. 
 
When Monaco’s family moved from the bustling city of Philadelphia to the more peaceful environment of the Pocono’s, she developed her love for theater and began studying acting, speech and debate.  In addition to ballroom dancing, Monaco also excels in soccer, swimming, track, and softball, among others, and she occasionally competes in triathlons.  She is also involved in numerous children’s charities and volunteers for several programs to assist the elderly. 
 
Monaco currently resides in Los Angeles.
