I Married Who?

Kellie Martin’s career began at the age of seven when her aunt, nanny to the children of Michael Landon, arranged for her to audition for Landon’s television drama, “Father Murphy.” After landing a small role on the series, Martin’s career took off.

Martin received an Emmy® nomination for her role as Becca Thatcher in the acclaimed series “Life Goes On.” In addition to landing a regular role in “ER” and guest starring in such acclaimed series as “thirtysomething,” “The Tracy Ullman Show” and “Law & Order: SVU,” Martin has starred in a number of television movies including “Her Hidden Truth,” “If Someone Had Known,” “Breaking Free,” “Her Last Chance,” “A Friend to Die For” and “Hidden in Silence.” Martin’s most recent guest starring roles have been on “Drop Dead Diva,” “Grey’s Anatomy,” “Private Practice” and “The Ghost Whisperer.”

Martin has also appeared in feature films ”Malibu’s Most Wanted,” “Troop Beverly Hills,” “Matinee,” “Jumping Jack Flash” and the animated “The Goofy Movie.” She can most recently be seen in the independent film musical, “Open House.”

Martin was part of the “Mystery Woman” series of Hallmark Channel Original Movies in the lead role of Samantha Kinsey as well as starring in the romantic comedy “Smooch,” also for Hallmark Channel.

Throughout her life, Martin has learned to balance her career and her studies, choosing to put TV and the movies on hold while she enrolled in Yale University, majoring in art history. She recently helmed a 13-minute short while participating in the prestigious American Film Institute’s directing workshop for women. If she ever decides to give up her career in show business, Martin dreams of working at the Metropolitan Museum of Art or opening a Manhattan photo gallery.

Martin lives in Los Angeles with her husband and daughter.
