Leon Ockenden grew up in the resort town of Looe, Cornwall, England, starring in plays in school before eventually pursuing a career in acting and graduating from the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art.

Ockenden’s television roles include a starring role in the cult hit drama series “Tripping Over,” in which he played carpenter and backpacking party animal Callum.  He also played the self-assured and suave Dr. Oakley in “Heartbeat” for ITV and wild boy Sam Taylor in “Family Affairs.”  He has recently been seen on screen in the BBC miniseries “Heros and Villians,” “Secret Diary of a Call Girl” opposite Billy Piper and “Identity.”  Next, Ockenden will feature in “The Runaway,” a Sky TV film based on Martina Cole's book.

Film work includes Clive Barker's “Dread,” “The Private Life of Samuel Pepys” for Oliver Parker and the yet to be released “Red Tails” for Lucas Films.

Ockenden has worked for the Royal Shakespeare Company and has appeared in the West End, to critical acclaim, in A Plague Over England for Tamara Harvey.  Most recently, he lent his voice and likeness to the critically acclaimed video game “Heavy Rain,” in which he played FBI profiler Norman Jayden.

Ockenden is a life long avid fan of the Liverpool Football Club.
