Ricky's Triple Chocolate Chip Cookie


  • 1 c 8oz unsalted butter
  • 145 gr vegetable shortening
  • 300 gr granulated sugar
  • 200 gr light brown sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 T vanilla
  • 282 gr all purpose flour
  • 1 t baking soda
  • 1/4 t baking powder
  • 1 t salt
  • 8 oz milk chocolate chip
  • 8 oz semi sweet chocolate chip
  • 8 oz dark chocolate chip


  1. Heat oven to 350-degree oven
  2. Cream butter and sugars.
  3. Add egg and vanilla with salt until combined.
  4. Add dry and incorporate.
  5. Add chocolate.
  6. Scoop and bake for about 9 minutes.

Special Notes:
Best Topped with Vanilla Sea Salt.
Vanilla Sea Salt – Vanilla bean seeded and scraped, combined and allowed to sit with ¼ C flake sea salt such as Maldon.

For the holidays top each cookie with crushed candy cane pieces before baking. Just as you remove from the oven, sprinkle on a couple more for a definitive peppermint crunch.
