- 1 c 8oz unsalted butter
- 145 gr vegetable shortening
- 300 gr granulated sugar
- 200 gr light brown sugar
- 3 large eggs
- 1 T vanilla
- 282 gr all purpose flour
- 1 t baking soda
- 1/4 t baking powder
- 1 t salt
- 8 oz milk chocolate chip
- 8 oz semi sweet chocolate chip
- 8 oz dark chocolate chip
Directions:
- Heat oven to 350-degree oven
- Cream butter and sugars.
- Add egg and vanilla with salt until combined.
- Add dry and incorporate.
- Add chocolate.
- Scoop and bake for about 9 minutes.

Best Topped with Vanilla Sea Salt.
Vanilla Sea Salt – Vanilla bean seeded and scraped, combined and allowed to sit with ¼ C flake sea salt such as Maldon.
For the holidays top each cookie with crushed candy cane pieces before baking. Just as you remove from the oven, sprinkle on a couple more for a definitive peppermint crunch.
