Marla Sokoloff


Marla Sokoloff is best known for starring as sassy and troublemaking receptionist Lucy Hatcher on David E. Kelly’s award¬winning series “The Practice,” and as Felicity Huffman’s cute and bubbly nanny on “Desperate Housewives.” 

Born and raised in San Francisco, Sokoloff later moved to Los Angeles and enrolled in the Los Angeles County High School of the Arts, where she studied theater and music. She won numerous awards for her singing and continues to perform at local clubs in Los Angeles, showcasing her acoustic and singing talents. 

Other recent credits include appearances on “Burn Notice,” “Drop Dead Diva” and the miniseries “Meteor” and “Maneater.” She also starred in Hallmark Channel’s “Flower Girl,” the sitcom “Big Day,” opposite Josh Cooke, and the Jerry Bruckheimer comedy “Modern Men.” Other television credits include the TV movie “Christmas in Boston” and guest appearances on “Friends,” “Strange Frequency,” “Full House,” “Party of Five,” “3rd Rock from the Sun” and “7th Heaven.” 

On the big screen, Sokoloff starred in “Sugar and Spice,” “Dude Where’s My Car?”, with Ashton Kutcher and Sean Willliam Scott, “Whatever it Takes” and the independent films “The Tollbooth” and “Home of Phobia,” which debuted at the 2004 Sundance Film Festival. 

Sokoloff currently resides in Los Angeles.
