Kayla Ewell is no stranger to the glamour of Hollywood, born and raised in nearby Long Beach, California. She was most recently seen starring on the first season of the popular series, "The Vampire Diaries."
Ewell spent her younger years immersed in the art of acting and performing. After landing a role in the children‘s chorus for the National Tour of "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat," she discovered her inner actress and set her sights on a professional career. She soon landed recurring roles on the acclaimed television series "Freaks and Geeks" and Fox‘s "Boston Public" before landing her role as Caitlin Ramirez on CBS‘s long-running soap opera, "The Bold and the Beautiful."
Since filming over 100 episodes of "The Bold and the Beautiful," Ewell has gone on to garner roles in the feature films "Fired Up," "Impact Point" and "Senior Skip Day" as well as roles in Martha Coolidge‘s "Material Girls" with Hilary Duff and Donald Petrie‘s "Just My Luck" starring Lindsay Lohan. She has also shined in her recurring and guest star roles on shows like "CSI," "Scoundrels," "Entourage," "The O.C.," "Bones," "Close to Home" and "Veronica Mars."
Trained and accomplished in tap, jazz and hip hop, Ewell devotes her free time to dancing and participating in recreational activities such as surfing, rock climbing and white water rafting. She resides in Los Angeles.
