James Tupper

Canadian actor James Tupper followed his love for the craft by studying acting at Concordia University in Montreal before moving to New Jersey to earn a MFA in Theatre Arts from Rutgers University. He appeared in several off-Broadway productions, made his big-screen debut in the 2001 comedy "Joe Dirt," starring David Spade, and booked notable television appearances on hit shows such as "The Gilmore Girls," "CSI: NY," and "How I Met Your Mother." 

Tupper is best known for his portrayal of biologist/hunk Jack Slattery in the ABC dramedy series "Men in Trees," starring Anne Heche. Other impressive television credits include, the ABC sitcom "Samantha Who?" with Christina Applegate and Melissa McCarthy, the ABC smash hit "Grey's Anatomy," the ABC drama series "Revenge," and the TV movie "Secret Lives of Husbands and Wives." 

On the big screen, he has been seen in the feature films "Me and Orson Welles" starring Zac Efron and Claire Danes, "Mr. Popper's Penguins" starring Jim Carrey, and "Playing for Keeps," in which he starred alongside Gerard Butler and Jessica Biel. 

When he's not in front of the camera, Tupper's interests include birdwatching and carpentry. He also plays guitar and supports such charities as Cure Duchenne, a national nonprofit organization devoted to curing Duchenne muscular dystrophy.
