Dewanda Wise is originally from Baltimore. She attended New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts and trained at The Atlantic Theatre Company Acting School. She appeared in the film Precious: Based on the Novel by Sapphire; television credits include the series Boardwalk Empire, Criminal Intent, The Good Wife and The Unusuals. She works often on stage, including with the Negro Ensemble Company in New York City.
