Q'orianka Kilcher emerged at the age of 14 into the front ranks of young actors with her portrayal of Pocahontas opposite Colin Farrell and Christian Bale in Terrence Malick’s The New World. Her performance won her the National Board of Review Best Breakthrough Performance Award in 2006. Q'orianka Kilcher had the title role in Princess Kaiulani (opposite Barry Pepper) and starred opposite Rhys Ifans and Anna Friel in the Syfy miniseries, Neverland. Q’orianka’s father is from Peru; her mother is a Swiss national who grew up in Alaska. Q’orianka is the founder of Action Hero Network, an organization which mentors at-risk youth through direct action.
